High Tea with Ambassador of India H.E. Ambassador Amar Sinha

The Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) was pleased to host Indian Ambassador, H.E. Amar Sinha, in Kabul as part of the “High Tea with the Ambassador” lecture series.

Government officials, members of parliament, academia as well as civil society activists attended the event.

AISS Director, Dr. Davood Moradian in his welcoming remarks highlighted the cultural similarities existing between India and Afghanistan, in addition to highlighting the importance of dialogue for understanding and removing biases and stereotypes between the two countries.

H.E. Ambassador Amar Sinha delivered a key note speech highlighting India’s role in security and developmental activities in Afghanistan. He reassured the participants that despite the limited resources, India is fully committed to help Afghanistan for India sees Afghanistan as a key partner in the region. He further said that India’s foreign policy towards Afghanistan has always been people centric and it will remain the same in the future.

The speech was followed by a question and answer session, in which H.E Ambassador Amar Sinha replied to the questions of the participants.
