On Saturday 8 September 2018, the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) held a farewell cermoney in honor of Ms. Annie Pforzheimer, Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan. This event was attended by Afghan government officials, media and civil society activists. During the meeting, director general of the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) highlighted Ms. Annie's perseverance and hard work during her mission in Afghanistan and appreciated her cooperation with the Afghan government and civil society. Ms. Pforzheimer's replacement, Ms. Karen Decker and new assistant chief mission of the US Embassy Mr. James P. DeHart also joined the farewell meeting.
