On December 22, 2020, the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS), the Russian Institute for Oriental Studies, and the Iranian Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (IPIS) co-organized an online discussion about Afghanistan, Russia, and Iran Trilateral Dialogue; the discussion mainly focused on possible ways to find a solution for the situation in Afghanistan. Members of the three institutions, officials, and experts from Afghanistan, Iran, and Russia shared their views on the ongoing peace negotiations with Taliban, and the prospects for any peace settlements in Afghanistan.
