The third round of Afghanistan-Iran bilateral dialogue was co-organized by the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) and the Iranian Institute for Political and International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (IPIS) on July 5, 2020. The event was held virtually; experts and officials from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Iran shared their views on recent events in Afghanistan. In addition, they discussed the future of Afghanistan; areas of mutual cooperation, both regional and international, between Afghanistan and Iran.
During this online meeting, there were two working sessions held under the themes; 1) The internal affair in Afghanistan and its scope: areas of cooperation between Iran and Afghanistan; and 2) The Afghan peace process, regional & international actors.
