On Thursday 27 June 2019, Ms. Karen Decker, Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy along other U.S. Embassy Officials visited the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) and met with the Director General, and researchers of AISS. During this meeting, both sides discussed U.S. efforts in the Afghan Peace Process, the prospects of an intra-Afghan dialogue and recent political and security developments in the country. Both side also exchange views on the importance of creating a platform for an inclusive peace process.
