On Saturday, 4 August 2018, the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) regional office in Herat, held a program in honor of Roya Sadat's recent film “A letter to the president”. Mrs. Sadat is one of the most Afghan prominent film directors and producers. She has been listed among ten global thinkers by prestigious Foreign Policy magazine in 2017 “for bringing the story of Afghan women to the screen”. A number of government officials, civil society activists, journalists and particularly filmmakers and producers from kabul and Herat participated in the event. Roya Sadat, Khalida Khursand and Monisa Hassanzadah were speakers of the event. At the end of the program, Roya Sadat's latest film “A letter to the President” was showed to participants.
