On November 12, 2017, the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) organized the launching ceremony for the book “Afghanistan’s Politics: A Narrative from Within”. The book was authored by Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta, Former National Security Advisor/Foreign Minister of Afghanistan. The book recounts Dr. Spanta’s personal experiences within politics in Afghanistan since the time he joined the Afghan government.
During this event, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Andisha, Deputy Foreign Minister, provided his assessment of the book, and Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta briefed the audiences of its contents. During his speech, Dr. Spanta narrated a number of passages from the book to convey his thoughts to the audience. The event was attended by representatives from the Afghan government, Parliament, civil society, academia, and media agencies. The event ended with a Q&A session as well as book signing.
