On October 18, 2017, Tajik scholars visited the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS). The delegation consisted of university professors and researchers of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. During the visit, the Tajik scholars held a meeting with the Director General of AISS. The two sides exchanged views on the opportunities and challenges that lay in the way of bilateral cooperation between Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
