The Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) was pleased to host EU Special Representative, Franz-Michael Skjold Mellbin in Kabul as part of the “High Tea with the Ambassador” lecture series. Government officials, political parties, scholars, members of parliament, academia as well as civil society activists attended the event.
AISS Director in his welcoming remarks appreciated Mr. Franz Michael Skjold Mellbin for offering a presentation in regards of E.U. – Afghanistan mutual interests and cooperation in “High Tea with Ambassador” series program.
E.U Ambassador Franz-Michael Skjold Mellbin in his speech highlighted that E.U continue its supports (transition phase) until 2020. He emphasized that Afghanistan’ stability and peace is on of E.U’ concerns and he will remain optimistic.
The speech was followed by a question and answer session, in which E.U Ambassador Franz-Michael Skjold Mellbin replied to the questions of the participants.
