Today, the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS) hosted Ismail Aramaz, NATO Senior Civilian Representative (SCR) to Afghanistan on his last days of tenure. In this meeting, NATO SCR stressed on strategic partnership of NATO with Afghanistan and said that NATO is committed to stand beside Afghan people to supporting Afghan defense and security forces. In this meeting, the AISS director thanked Mr. Aramaz’s positive endeavors in Afghanistan and called him an experienced diplomat and good friend of Afghan people. The AISS Director also expressed that Mr. Aramaz has had a key role in supporting NATO efforts in Afghanistan. In this meeting the two sides also talked on policies of NATO countries in Afghanistan and exchanged views on the regional and global political changes.
